DETOX WORKS

I would like to applaud the suggestions made by Sparwood Mayor David
Wilks regarding monitoring sales of meth ingredients by retailers. I
would like to further applaud the delegates urging cabinet ministers
to "consider" measures to pull young addicts off the street for a
mandatory detox. Although sustained success would likely require a
longer stay in order to allow for healing on all levels.

It appears to be that Attorney-General Wally Oppal rather than
investigating such treatments that do work, refers to that
Constitution of Rights and Freedom Act which inhibits these sometimes
necessary actions.

John Les outright states "forced treatment doesn't work." John Les
appears to be in the dark as to the fact that yes there is and are
programs that have a very high success rate. He only needs to look at
our neighbours in Alberta to get an education.

It appears it is comments such as these that continue to allow our
children "The Right To Die."
