SENATOR WRAPS UP SERIES OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVENTS

Cambridge residents are invited to take advantage of  free bus service
to the closing keynote address of In  the Mind's Eye 2006: Issues of
Substance Use in Film &  Forum.

On Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., Senator Larry Campbell will speak  about issues
of substance use and abuse at Kitchener  Collegiate Institute, 787
King St. W., Kitchener.  Campbell was born in Brantford and joined the
RCMP is  the 1960s, later establishing Vancouver's first  district
coroner's office. In 1996, he became the chief  coroner for British
Columbia. He was the inspiration  and a collaborator for the TV show
Da Vinci's Inquest.  In 2002, Campbell became the mayor of Vancouver
and  implemented the four pillars Integrated Drug Strategy,  focusing
on prevention, harm reduction, treatment and  enforcement. He was
appointed to the Canadian Senate in  2005.

The bus from Cambridge leaves the Ainslie Street  terminal (taxi stand
area) at 5:45 p.m., Langs Farm  Village Association (887 Langs Dr.) at
6 p.m., and  Preston Library (435 King St.) at 6:15 p.m.

The bus will return to Cambridge at the conclusion of  the event.
There is no cost to attend.

In the Mind's Eye, presented by the Community Safety &  Crime
Prevention Council, uses film and forums to  examine substance use and
abuse.
