LOTS OF SUPPORT

Re: Most Canadians OK with medicinal marijuana: poll, Nov. 2.

As a federal medical marijuana exemptee, I'd like to thank the
Citizen for publishing this article.

The poll, showing that more than 93 per cent of Canadians support the
use of marijuana as a medicine for the sick proves that Canadians
support sick people like me.

Our government and the American government would like us to believe
that marijuana is not a medicine, but the support for medicinal
marijuana states otherwise.

The Canadian government has a marijuana program only because the
Canadian courts forced it upon them.

These figures show the government shouldn't be forced into providing
sick people with marijuana, but should embrace and expand this program.

The numbers also show the government must spend money advertising and
promoting its medical marijuana program, not burying it in red tape.
