IF CIGARETTES WENT UNDERGROUND

A new national poll done for the Drug Policy Alliance found that 45%
of Americans support making cigarettes illegal within the next 10
years, with the strongest support among folks 18-29. This will never
happen, of course, given America's costly and disastrous experiment
with banning booze. However, a ban could produce an underground
economic boom for border cities, as Prohibition did for Detroit, and
if the Michigan economy is still in the dumper a decade from now,
let's revisit the issue ...
