STREET SMART WARNS TEENS REALITIES OF DRUG ABUSE

Anheuser-Busch has long spouted the slogan that "responsibility
matters," and yesterday the company and its local distributor Ambros
Inc. took steps to try to teach the island's youth about the
pitfalls of drug abuse.

The beer company is sponsoring a three-day tour of local high
schools by the Stay Alive From Education's Street Smart program. The
program recounts the real-life drama experienced by
firefighter-paramedics as they work to save the lives of youth who
have made poor choices when it comes to underage drinking or using
illegal drugs, according to a press release from the company.

Yesterday Miami-Dade Fire Department firefighter Vincent Easevoli,
the executive director of the organization, and fellow firefighter
Joe McCluan -- from the Orlando, Florida fire department -- were at
George Washington High School to share their message with students.
"It's so rewarding later when students share how the presentation
has made a difference in their lives," Easevoli said. "Whether
that's choosing not to engage in underage drinking or use
illegal drugs, or choosing to wear a seat belt, ... their stories
motivate us to reach even more students with those positive messages."

School rounds The Street Smart group also will make presentations at
Father Duenas Memorial School, Notre Dame High School, St. John's
School and to Department of Defense schools and other military
personnel at COMNAVMAR and Anderson Air Force Base.
