DRUGS SHOULD BE LEGALIZED

Dear Editor:

Re: "Drug problem must be addressed" (Summerland Review, Sept. 28.)

What Bernadette Achtem fails to understand is that the War On Terror
and the War On Certain Drugs were never meant to won; they were meant
to be continuous.

Regulating drugs would save us about $2 billion annually in
enforcement, courts, and corrections, millions more in reduced
property crime, and generate an estimated $3 billion in annual tax revenue.
