HELLS ANGELS EXPAND 'DOMAIN'

Now Posting Personality Profiles On Net To Woo Motorcycle-Mamas

WANT a glimpse of what it's like to be a Hells Angel?

Don't wait for another court case. Just go on line and see for
yourself on myspace.com.

Four Winnipeg Hells Angels have posted profiles of themselves for all
the world to read.

The profiles might be short and sweet, but they make no attempt to
downplay their membership in the world's largest outlaw motorcycle gang.

"I am proud member of the Hells Angels M.C.," one biker said while
the rap music of the Geto Boys plays.

"I enjoy riding my bike, fishing, watching the NFL or NHL," said
another, displaying his tattoos. "If you want know more about my
intrests (sic) drop me a line."

A third is more descriptive of the biker lifestyle: he posts this
under who he'd like to meet on the web:

"Anyone who is not a retard and is able to keep a normal conversation
and when it's time to be bad I'll need a partner in crime to help me
with all the partys (sic) and anyone who wants to just chill, check
out me and my brother and show your love, then welcome to join now.

"P.S. And just a reminder: Canada is red."

The red refers to the Big Red Machine, the Hells Angels nickname.

The bikers have also posted photos of themselves with other gang
members at gang parties and motorcycle races. One has included his
two pet dogs and another his fishing prowess.

Motorcycles, marijuana and women -- lots of women -- are also featured.

City police said they're well aware the gangsters are using the
Internet to promote themselves.

"They not using it for business," organized crime unit Sgt. Rick
Guyader said yesterday. "They're doing it more to get dates." These
pages aside, Guyader said the bikers also use the Internet to do
business just like any other company or service.

"It's as important to them as it is to us or you in the media," he said.

The revelation gang members use myspace.com -- it's one of the most
popular web sites next to Google -- came this week with the
sentencing of gang associate Harold Amos.

Amos was handed a nine-year prison term for conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

As part of the investigation, police seized a number of documents,
including names and phone numbers of gang members and associates,
including one document which appeared to be Amos's application to the
Hells Angels.

Guyader said the case showed in no uncertain terms what the Hells
Angels are all about. What sealed Amos' fate was a hidden police
video of him cutting up crack cocaine in a Leila Avenue apartment kitchen.

But he said Amos' sentencing won't lessen the gang's presence in
Manitoba or across the country.

"When you knock off key players they have to have other people move
up the ranks," he said.

"We'll find other ways to get these guys. We have a big bag of tricks
and we just shake it up."
