NEED GOOD MODELS

It was infuriating to listen to these baseball crybabies deny they used
steroids in front of the congressional committee, followed by their concern
for children that look to major league players as role models. Besides all
the awards they achieved, they each have an MS in BS.

I am also annoyed with the authorities who set up the five or six breaks
for a player who tests positive for illegal drugs. I'll tell you how to
teach children about right from wrong: Because children learn by example,
adopt a no-tolerance rule. Let the career of the overpaid, tantrum-throwing
crybabies be over. If they are in the Hall of Fame, let them be removed.

Finally, take them off the baseball cards. Then the children will see how
it's all over when you use drugs. Kids don't like guys who blow a good
thing. Let's not perpetuate the Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden
multiple offenses, short suspensions and standing ovations after each return.
