DRUG MIX KILLS INNISFIL TEEN

A 15-YEAR-OLD Innisfil boy's death the morning after he downed a deadly
mixture of drugs at a house party is being investigated by police and a
coroner. The teen's body was found 11 a.m. Sunday in a home in Lefroy with
no vital signs.

Members of the Innisfil Fire Department, the local ambulance service and
police tried to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead after at Royal
Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

Investigators determined the teen had attended a party in the Alcona area
the previous night, where alcohol and narcotics was available, Insp. Tom
McDonald said yesterday.

Witnesses said the youth, whose name wasn't released, took a combination of
drugs, believed to be morphine sulfate and marijuana.

"The youth died as a result of a drug overdose or lethal combination of the
narcotics and alcohol," said McDonald.
