FRUSTRATING "JUSTICE"

Recently, in Chilliwack B.C., a judge from the B.C. Supreme Court,
threw out a case against a couple because the police got a "bit nasty"
with their battering ram. The accused said the search breached their
rights "to be secure against unreasonable search and seizure". The
couple involved were charged with unlawful production of marijuana,
possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and theft of
electricity.

I guess the normal or "proper" procedure would have the police mailing
out some sort of notification on nice pink paper with embossed
lettering and appropriate floral design, advising the suspected
criminals that they (the police) would be coming by a week from
Wednesday to inspect their property for any signs of criminal
activity. If Wednesday was not convenient, then the police could
adjust their schedule and call back on the Thursday.

How frustrating our "Charter of Rights" must be for the police in a
case like this!
