DRUG TESTING HAS A PLACE IN ENSURING STUDENTS' SAFETY

Recently issues have arisen about drug testing. Some think it is all
right, whereas some think it is a violation of their privacy.

I think that it is a school's obligation to make sure that drugs and
other illegal materials are kept out of school. Those students who put
forth the extra time and effort to participate in an extracurricular
activity deserve to be in an environment where illegal materials are
not present. If a student cannot conform, and uses illegal drugs, then
that student should not be allowed to participate in extracurricular
activities. This may make people feel a bit uncomfortable, but it is
necessary to ensure the safety of the students.
