FREE HEROIN BAD USE OF MONEY

Wow, they never let up! Without doubt our politicians make life
interesting- albeit rather expensive.

One wonders if they'd spend their own money with such elan. The latest
shaky but oversupported scheme is the free heroin for those addicted
for more than five years, a move that's touted to reduce crime.

That I doubt.

Why not free booze for alcoholics in the same category?

No doubt those addicted to that drug under five years will be
appealing for equality. Sounds like grasping at straws to me, a wild
and ill-thought-out attempt to deal with a problem that'll not go
away-or be solved by this move.

I shudder to think what this hairball/brain scheme will cost taxpayers
(think I heard $81million, but if correct that's likely to rise) -
more wasted funds that could be directed to help families in dire need.
