DRUG DEALERS RUINING TOO MANY PRECIOUS LIVES

On Sunday morning, Feb. 6, I sat down to read my newspaper and saw a very
large picture on the front page. I had seen this pitiful face last summer on
the local television news.

As I read the article and the terrible things the deputies allegedly
had done, I almost felt sympathy for the man in the big picture.

Then, I began to think of all the people I know personally whose lives
are in ruins because of drugs and drug dealers like Lester Eugene Siler.

I think of all the grandparents who are trying to take care of
children growing up without one or both parents because you can't be a
decent parent and be on drugs.

I could fill that great big spot on your front page with names of
innocent victims of people like Siler. One of those names would belong
to a beautiful little girl who calls me "Mamaw."

Don't waste that space on convicted drug dealers like Siler. They
don't deserve it.
