COLUMNIST HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD

What an excellent column by Sheila Potter (Saanich News, Jan. 26). I
just wanted to point out a few issues that are slighty more serious
and weren't included in her light-hearted but very well-written and
thought out opinion.

What if those dangerous organized crime members, who the police and
politicians are always claiming account for most of these grow ops,
happen to be "in charge" of a particular grow op.

Do the police and politico's actually believe these criminals won't
simply murder the landlord and move their crop to avoid detection.

Also, it's technically illegal to engage in random spot
checks.

In about 10 years, if these laws stay in place, I'm sure citizens will
leave to be replaced by people who actually like "big brother"
invading their privacy, violating their rights and entering their
homes on a whim with no warning.

Oh wait, no one likes that.Well, I'm sure Saanich was a nice place to
live...
