IT'S TIME TO STAND UP TO THE BULLY

Vic Toews' comparison of telemarketing scams in reference to the case
of Marc Emery and his extradition (Case about treaty, not sovereignty,
Aug. 26 2005) is an inadequate one at best. Both nations view such
scams as an act which is dishonourable.

You would be hard pressed to find a citizen on either side of the
border that would say stealing grandma's change is just fine and
dandy, but when it comes to weed, you don't even have to look past the
judicial system to find people sympathetic to legal reform.

When it comes to marijuana legal reform or the selling of marijuana
seeds or even marijuana itself, the opinions held by judiciaries,
civil groups and governments are varied and starkly differing.
