CANADIANS ARE PAYING TO BECOME A U.S. COLONY

Re: The long arm of Uncle Sam, Aug. 20

The U.S. fines Canada for the privilege of exporting softwood lumber. Since
the billions of dollars involved are not taxable in Canada, Canada is
thereby the poorer.

A U.S. judge has been asked to order the seizure of Canadian land where a
drug-smuggling tunnel was located.

The Vancouver Sun reports on the numerous American law and espionage
agencies that operate inside Canada apparently unchecked. These American
agencies can demand the extradition of Canadian citizens for actions that
are not usually prosecuted in Canada. Further, these demands are enforced
with the active assistance of Canada's police and judicial authorities.

The Americans do not pay for any of these services, but I do, through my
taxes.

I am further penalized because when Canadians are busy doing the bidding of
Americans, they are not enforcing Canada's laws.

There is a name for this kind of relationship: colonialism.
