BUILD MORE JAILS FOR DRUG CRIMES

I agree with B.C. Solicitor-General John Les there should be a minimum
sentence (not less than three years) for crystal-meth offences.

Drug rehab should be mandatory during incarceration.

This should also apply to cocaine, crack, heroin and ecstasy -- they also
kill people.

All other criminal activity done while on crystal meth, heroin, etc.,
should also be treated the same way.

There should be no excuses. People had a choice as to whether or not to
take the drug.

It is urgent that new jails be built immediately. As it is, there are too
many criminals being let off with a light sentence due to no jail space.
These actions should have been taken much earlier.

Thanks to The Province, the government is stepping in. Let's hope this
action is immediate!
