METH IS THE REAL MENACE
I'm writing about your thoughtful July 28 editorial: "The Scourge of
Meth."
This headline could be used in hundreds of newspapers throughout the
United States. So far, the drug czar's solution to this epidemic has
been to go after marijuana users and growers, including medical
marijuana users and their caregivers.
This is like an emergency-room surgeon treating a knee scrape with a
Band-Aid while the patient's blood is gushing out of a severed artery
in his neck. Not exactly the best priorities.
