MARIJUANA DOESN'T KILL

While reading the Jan. 6 article, "Drug overdose deaths in Southwest
Virginia eclipse rest of state," I couldn't help but realize marijuana
hasn't killed a single soul from overdose in more than 5,000 years of
documented use.

Perhaps legalizing marijuana will give some people a way out of and off of
addictive substances. Marijuana is less addictive than coffee and has an
awesome safety record; it hasn't killed anyone. If marijuana can help save
lives, it should be available.
