NATIONAL GUARD TO FLY CHOPPER TO LOCAL SCHOOLS

The Minnesota Army National Guard will land a "Huey" helicopter on the Adrian School practice football field on Monday, April 12, 2004.

The Minnesota Army National Guard will land a "Huey" helicopter on the Adrian School practice football field on Monday, April 12, 2004, at 10:30 a.m.  in connection with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education graduation ceremony.

At the request of the Nobles County D.A.R.E.  officer, the National Guard's Drug Demand Reduction Program will fly the 11 passenger UH-IH utility helicopter to the schools to reinforce the drug-free lifestyle taught by D.A.R.E.

The crew will discuss the helicopter, survival equipment and remaining drug-free.

Students will tour the helicopter after the ceremony.

The Drug Demand Reduction Program offers drug-free role models and flies daily to schools all across Minnesota.
