BEWARE OF THE DEATH CULTURE

Editor, The Record:

Alan Randell's message is unfortunate. It says all traditional thinking is
fascist, homophobic, oppressive, misogynist or anti-Semitic.

Alan says that our attempts to suppress the ingestion of toxic substances is
a racist attack by white Christians against "Blacks, Chinese, and Mexicans."
But in fact, what Mr. Randell proposes is in itself racist, for he suggests
that these people are all addicts and that laws against illegal drug use is
an attack on their cultural values. Not only is this insulting to the vast
majority of these people who do not abuse or condone the use of drugs but,
there are also very stringent laws in China, Malaysia, Africa and Mexico,
for those who deal in this immoral trade.

What Mr. Randell proposes as a cure for addiction is the end of prohibition
and the availability of these poisons in their purest, unadulterated forms.
Talk about a culture of death!
