106 LBS. OF POT SEIZED IN MORRISTOWN BUST

MORRISTOWN - A estimated $400,000 worth of marijuana found hidden in
hockey bags landed two Niagara Falls-area men in county jail Thursday,
according to the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force.

The Drug Task Force, working together with the U. S. Department of
Homeland Security, Tribal Police, and St. Lawrence County Sheriff's
Deputies, reported charging [DELETE], 30, and [DELETE], 30, with first
degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class 'C' felony at
approximately 5 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on state Route
37 in Morristown.

During the traffic stop, police discovered approximately 106 pounds of
marijuana stashed in two hockey bags laying in the bed of the 2001
ford pick-up truck, according to the drug task force. Police said the
marijuana was of high quality, and would have likely fetched about
$400,000 if sold on the street.

The truck was also impounded, according to the task
force.

The two men were arraigned in Lisbon Town Court before Justice Phillip
Fonda, and were remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional
Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.
