EIGHT MORE DRUG CHARGES LAID

Provincial police yesterday charged another eight suspects with drug
trafficking offences after a nine-month investigation focusing on
Oxford and Elgin counties. "Most of the arrests occurred overnight,"
said Det. Sgt. Brad Durfy, who headed the investigation that yielded
more than $700,000 in drugs, including cocaine, crack, ecstasy and
marijuana.

Police have arrested 33 people in connection with the raids during the
last two weeks. They are still searching for three people on
trafficking charges, said Durfy.
