RETURN MCCRACKIN

I am very angry and broken-hearted at the recent events that have led
to George McCrackin's resignation. I feel as if Mr. McCrackin was a
scapegoat. He would never have resigned on his own free will.

Why should the heart and soul of Stratford High have to resign when
the only thing he is guilty of is caring for his family? Yes, I do
mean family.

Mr. McCrackin has a family that exceeds 2,700 children. He also has
the best reputation of any principal I have ever met. I feel very sure
that I am speaking for the majority of Stratford parents.

Mr. McCrackin has done more for my hearing-impaired daughter than any
principal in 12 years. With the words "Let's make it happen," he took
her from a self-contained class and has helped her mainstream into a
regular class environment. She no longer feels handicapped. She is on
her way to a high school diploma.

Let's look at the big picture. Parents are outraged and want our
principal back. Is it the American Way to punish this man for doing
the right thing?

I think all of the supportive parents at Stratford need to take a vote
or, better yet, have our own march.

Let's defend our principal and our children's best interest. Don't let
a select few ruin this school's reputation.

Let's make it happen!
