DRUG DEALERS MUST BE DEALT SWIFT JUSTICE

This country needs to wake up and realize that the root of violent
crime lies with drug use. Then we must deal with those who continually
maim and cripple the lives and opportunities of people by supplying
drugs to them.

When a dealer is busted and charged, our penalties are simply not
strong enough to set an example for others. A good lawyer, whom most
dealers can afford, will be able to obtain a plea bargain, a term that
has been the ruination of the judicial system in this country. The
deterrent for dealing drugs should be death, and there should not be a
10-year ordeal to see it through. The appeals process should not be
allowed to exceed two years before the state carries out the sentence.
That is a deterrent.

Judicial reform is long overdue in South Carolina and the nation.
