GROW HOUSE IN KESWICK

Police have arrested a North York man in connection with the latest
marijuana grow house bust in Keswick Monday.

York Regional Police raided a Riverglen Drive home and discovered 750
pot plants worth about $750,000, along with grow equipment.

Electricity had been diverted from the meter for the operation, police
said.

A man was arrested as he drove near the house. He faces charges of
possession for the purpose of trafficking, theft of utilities and
producing an illegal substance.

This was the fifth major grow house operation uncovered in Georgina,
the latest in September involving a massive $3.3-million operation on
McCowan Avenue. Another grow operation was uncovered after a Toronto
man was found shot to death in a Ley Boulevard house in Keswick Aug.
18.

Prior to that $575,000 of marijuana plants were discovered in Sutton
and $200,000 worth in Keswick in a one-day operation last summer.
