IT'S SIMPLE

To the editor:

Here's a thought, why not vote "yes" on Proposition 2, regulate and
tax the distribution of marijuana to benefit our families?

I am sure that there has to be a child somewhere in Alaska that could
use new books or computers in his or her classroom. Maybe, just maybe,
we could find a hungry or ill child needing assistance.

What about that elderly person that could benefit from the revenue to
help them pay for their prescription costs? Perhaps we could offer
reasonable health coverage to low income families and elderly? Could
we use the benefits to educate on drug and alcohol abuse?

It is possible to come together as a state and see the countless
benefits of this proposition versus negative? It seems to me that
Alaska's people are proud of being diverse. Then be diverse. Show them
it can be done and that the people of Alaska did it when the
government couldn't.
