POT REGULATION

Re: Marijuana The Drug Of Choice For Canadian Teens, Oct. 6.

The fact that Canadian teens have chosen marijuana over alcohol as a drug
of choice might scare the uninitiated. It shouldn't. Those who use
marijuana as a "young adult" usually only do so until their mid-20s, then
they give it up for other things in life. Alcohol use, on the other hand,
tends to continue throughout a person's life.

The best way to keep marijuana out of the hands of youth is to regulate it
like alcohol and tobacco. Replace prohibition with regulation, before it
becomes a total "American-style" disaster.
