CHILDREN 'IN DRUGS'

Nairobi - Drug traffickers and sellers in Malindi use children as young as
seven years old in their trade so as to evade police detection, the East
African Standard learnt yesterday.

At the same time, a couple suspected to be a major drug dealer in Malindi
was yesterday arrested by police in a swoop.

Malindi police boss, Mr Thomas Matano said the couple was arrested by
police at Majengo Mapya village with 25 stones and 177 rolls of bhang.

Matano said police have also arrested five other drug sellers in the past
few days.

He said the five were found in possession of sachets of heroin.
