INSTANT KARMA GRATIFYING

Dear editor,

On July 9 I was having dinner with my wife, and from our table we had
a view of the bench at the corner of Highway 19 and Granville. Sitting
on the bench were three of the village idiots smoking dope,
unconcerned about any passersby including children.

I thought to myself that I would love to see the police drive up.

Well, no sooner had that thought had cleared my head, a police cruiser
arrived.

The end result was two of the fools were allowed to leave, but one was
arrested.

I will admit that is a little mean-spirited to take joy in someone
else's misfortune, but it has been a long time since I have
experienced something so soul-satisfying.

The previous week I witnessed two of Port Hardy's resident morons
sitting at that same bench, smashing bottles on the highway. However,
they escaped before the police arrived.

I think most people smile, knowing that jerks get what's coming to
them. Thank you to the RCMP officers who made my day.
