LAWMEN NAB THREE NOTORIOUS DRUG PUSHERS IN MUNTI

Authorities have arrested three notorious drug pushers in Muntinlupa City
following a series of anti-drug operations in drug-affected areas of the city.

The city's Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office (Dapco) reported the
arrest of Jonard Marlin, 34, tricycle driver, of San Guillermo Street,
Bayanan; Eliseo de Vera Jr., 38, of Munting Nayon, Putatan, and Florencio
Campillo, 38, of Freewill Subdivision, Putatan.

Dapco chief Col. Erasto Sanchez said Marlin was arrested on the strength of
a search warrant issued by Judge Juanita Guerrero of the Regional Trial
Court Branch 204. The warrant was issued after a positive test-buy
operation conducted earlier by the enforcers against the suspect.

Seized from Marlin were 29 pieces of heat sealed plastic sachet containing
3.2 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and other illegal drug
paraphernalia.

Confiscated from De Vera and Campillo were 13 pieces of heat sealed plastic
sachets also containing shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

All the suspects are now detained at the city jail while charges are being
prepared against them for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
