2 SUSPECTED PUSHERS KILLED VIGILANTE STYLE

TWO men allegedly involved in illegal drug activities were gunned down
by unidentified suspects on St. Theresa Street, Barangay Centro in
Agdao, Davao City, Saturday morning.

The victims were identified as Robert "Jong-Jong" Sales, 23, of
Diamond Village in Lanang, and his friend Luisito "Amay" Lacierna, 35,
of St. Theresa, San Juan, Barangay Centro, Agdao, this city.

Investigation conducted by SPO1 Valentine Reboquio of the Sta.Ana
police precinct said that the incident happened at around 11:40 a.m.
when the victims were sitting at the back seat of a parked red
multicab with plate number LWD-259 on a vacant lot on St. Theresa Street.

It was not known, however, who owns the multicab.

Reboquio said the victims were having a conversation when two
unidentified men appeared from behind and without provocation shot the
victims several times.

Witnesses claimed that the suspects, who were described to be in their
mid 30's, casually walked towards a waiting motorcycle and sped off
after the incident.

Sales, who was hit twice in his body, and Lacierna, hit thrice, were
declared dead on the spot.

Police recovered five empty shells of caliber .45 pistol at the scene
of crime.

Meanwhile, Reboquio said the victims were involved in drug peddling
activities.

"On the account of the witnesses who knew them, they were allegedly
known as drug peddlers. Actually Lacierna was detained before at the
Sta.Ana police precinct for a drug related case," Reboquio said
Sun.Star Davao.

Reboquio added they were not certain whether the victims were included
on the police watchlist.

The bodies were brought to Patalinghug Funeral Homes for autopsy.
