CANDIDATES SHOULD NOT IGNORE CANNABIS ISSUE

By being the first governor in modern times to serve two consecutive
terms, much has happened during the administration of Gov. Paul
Patton. I will not concentrate on the governor's positives and
negatives, but I will again challenge him to focus on people in need
of cannabis as medicine.

This would be a magnificent way to end Patton's two terms as governor.
By supporting the needs of Kentuckians, his character would be viewed
as that of an understanding politician.

It also would be a great time for gubernatorial candidates Ernie
Fletcher and Ben Chandler to express their views on this subject. Will
they ignore the situation?

In eight years, Governor Patton has failed to help those in need of
this medicine. Will the next governor do the same? What will it take
for those in power to understand the necessity of this medicine?
