Dear friends -

I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the work that the Media
Awareness Project does on behalf of all who are concerned about the
war on drugs. The information you collect for us is invaluably
helpful, and ensures that at least some people will be equipped to see
through the lies and ideological distortions perpetrated by states
held captive to a logic of prohibition. If I did not have your
diligence as an ally in this struggle for political clarity, I would
be adrift in opinion and misinformation. I have little money, but I
have a voice and a mind. I thank you immensely for helping me use my
resources more accurately and responsibly.

It is all too easy to lapse into complacency, to accept the
inevitability of state prohibition and punishment on the bodies and
lives of drug users. With your services, concerned citizens can
better resist the temptation to abandon democracy to the heap of
irrelevant social myth.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Weidler
