I don't think it is right to let people out of prison early. Their 
punishment is not being served; it is not fair to other people; and it's 
not safe for the community. I think the whole idea is stupid.

When you do something bad, you are supposed to be punished for it. If we 
are just letting them out of prison early, then they are not being 
punished. If they can get out early, don't you think they are just going to 
do it again?

What if he hurt another person? I don't think it is fair to the person who 
got hurt that the person who did it gets out of prison early. How would you 
feel if this happened to you or a person you cared about?

If a drug dealer gets out of prison early and comes to your community and 
starts selling drugs to kids who you know, how would this make you feel? Or 
what if a person who stole a car and gets out early tries to steal another 
one and ends up hurting someone?

People who are sent to prison should not be released early. We would be 
safer if these people were kept in prison rather than out on the streets.
