Limbaugh argues that he cannot be treated for his "serious medical conditions" because the state seized all of his original charts and files last month and intimidated his doctors. The Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office seized the records for its investigation into whether Limbaugh engaged in illegal drug use and went "doctor shopping" for prescription painkillers. State Attorney spokesman Mike Edmondson said Mon-day that Limbaugh's rights have been scrupulously protected. Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, has previously accused the Palm Beach State Attorney's Office of having political motives for investigating whether the conservative radio commentator bought painkillers illegally. Black did not return a phone call Friday. The search warrants list prescriptions for more than 2,000 pills from March 24 through Sept. 26. - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
