HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVE RIGHTS, TOO

Normally, I am an advocate of minding your own business and a firm believer
for the most part that what goes on in other towns doesn't concern us. The
incident that took place recently in Goose Creek, S.C., however, should
concern all of us. For the high school principal and the police department
to conduct a raid on high school students is inexcusable and sickening. How
in the world could they justify using drawn guns against high school
students? They're just kids, but they have rights, also.

I am sure that our forefathers who sacrificed their lives so we could
remain a free society would be ashamed that this transgression was allowed
to happen.

Everyone who was involved in authorizing this travesty should be fired.
Actions speak louder than words, and people lose jobs because of
insensitive remarks.
