PUNISH THE VIOLENT CRIMINALS

Justice Defiled is not only the name of law professor Alan Young's new
book; the term is a perfect description of the pathetic sentence
Dwayne McClurg received for killing Brandon Anderson.

The editors of The Sun deserve credit for pointing out that cannabis
producers routinely receive much harsher sentences than child
molesters -- and evidently violent killers, too. Obviously the
Liberals' policy reflects the government's belief that violent
criminals are more likely to be rehabilitated than vice criminals.

Canadians ought to separate medicine and state to restore liberty and
start punishing violent criminals. We ought to kick the psychiatrists
out of the courtroom just like we kicked out the priests.

In a free country, it is the duty of the state to punish criminals.
Individuals will rehabilitate themselves if they want to.
