PUT A METHADONE CLINIC AT ORANGE AND KIMBALL

A lot must be considered regarding a methadone clinic in Northwest
Roanoke (Nov. 1 news article, "Another methadone clinic is proposed").
As a society, it's our duty to offer help for people who are caught up
in this travesty.

The Life Center of Galax wanted to place a clinic in Roanoke County,
and all heck broke loose. So, the next plan was the "path of least
resistance." Let's put it in a neighborhood in Northwest Roanoke
because that's the "good ol' boy" way.

This is a new day, and the good ol' boy network has been eulogized and
buried. We will not allow this type of clinic less than two blocks
from Ruffner Middle School and William Fleming High School.

May I suggest the Orange Avenue and Kimball Avenue area because
residential and school areas aren't close?

Hey, citizens, speak out on this important issue. I also invite
Roanoke County residents, who have been there, to speak out on this
issue and for U.S. Attorney John Brownlee to once again voice his
concerns, since his jurisdiction includes the city.
