CANNABIS IS GOOD MEDICINE

Thank you for publishing the honest letter by Christopher Largen [Outpost, June 19].  Cannabinoids are certainly medicinal.  Cannabis and cannabis based medication are being distributed legally in other nations for ailments ranging from Multiple Sclerosis to chronic pain.

Other nations have done clinical trails and research that has been restricted in this country due to politics.

It's our government that uses fear and hate mongering to denounce cannabis as medicine.  Anyone who has met a patient who uses cannabis for their sickness knows that it is no myth.

The fact is that every study that our government has commissioned on cannabis has concluded that it be decriminalized due to its relatively harmless nature.

The DEA's own Administrative Law Judge Francis Young ruled that "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man.  By any measure of rational analysis marijuana can be safely used within a supervised routine of medical care."

So I ask my fellow Americans to seek the truth.

Don't accept the word of law enforcement or the federal government because they are truly addicted.  Addicted to the billions of tax dollars they are budgeted each year, seemingly without question.

Go online, do some research and you will soon discover that you have been lied to for over 100 years in regards to cannabis and hemp.

Then again, some people prefer to remain blissfully ignorant.
