The drugs were discovered when the lawyer voluntarily gave the pens to guards for inspection, RCMP said yesterday . It's unknown if the lawyer knew what was inside the pens or if he was delivering them on behalf of someone else. The lawyer has not been charged and was released on a promise to appear, police say. RCMP spokesman Sgt. Steve Saunders said Mounties are still investigating and had no further comment. The Free Press is not naming the accused lawyer because he has not been charged. He has practised criminal law for more than a decade. The lawyer was unavailable for comment yesterday. - --- MAP posted-by: Perry Stripling
