DRUG LAWS DUE FOR HISTORY'S HAUNTED HOUSE

The sheer amount of mitigating evidence that Alton McQueen was able to
ignore, and the amount of hatred he was able to spew at the same time, in
his recent June 15 guest column, "AGN part of masterful propaganda
campaign," is simply mind-boggling.

Mr. McQueen shows himself to be about as committed to a citizen's right to
a fair trial as he is to actually helping our nation's drug problem. In
short, he cares not a whit for either.

It seems likely from facts brought to light that Tom Coleman repeatedly
perjured himself. The facts make it equally evident that our nation's
prohibition of drugs is a dismal, racist failure that ought to be consigned
firmly to the past with other horrors of history.
