SUBSTITUTE 'SAFER' WITH 'SAFE'

Letters to the editor

The following letters are in reply to the For What It's Worth column
(Dec. 18) by Record publisher Jack Kindred.

Try this Jack, you appear challenged on the issue of drug policy:
substitute the word "safer" for safe.

Then, try to keep in mind the alternative scenario for opiate
consumption for the misguided children of Canada, which will be less
safe.

Does this help? Keep in mind, saving lives is more important than
sending messages.

The public has spoken in British Columbia. I suppose we will see what
happens in Alberta. The sites are optional, not mandatory, and if you
folks in Alberta prioritize punishing people over preventing their
deaths, that would appear to be your call.

Have fun punishing opiate addicts with arrest and jail while watching
them suffer and die from impure substances of unknown quality and purity.

You remind me of Romans torturing the Christians.
