OUR PICK

The school district has created a policy to deal with substance abuse issues.

Earlier, substance abuse was covered under other school policies.

We're pleased this issue is now being addressed on its own.

This substance abuse policy shows an initiative to provide opportunities 
for healthy student growth and development.

BAD APPLES

We're concerned when we hear reports of crystal methamphetamine circulating 
in Summerland.

It is unfortunate that mind-altering addictive drugs such as this are 
circulating within our community.

Illegal drugs such as this will bring with them a myriad of unwanted social 
problems

We hope this problem can be curbed before it becomes a major issue in our 
community.
