(Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act)

PUBLIC SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT D.A.'S ACTIONS.

Regarding the Steve Kubby issue, I have to wonder why Steve is required to
spend 120 days in jail since Prop. 36 is in full effect in the state of
California.

Prop. 36 is supposed to prevent incarceration for minor drug crimes.

A mushroom stem and a piece of a cactus plant surely do not translate into
harm to anyone's community.

Placer County District Attorney Brad Fenocchio appears to be vindictive and
apparently unhappy that Steve beat the marijuana cultivation charges and so
he sentences Steve to a life-threatening incarceration completely ignoring
the will of the California people as embodied in Prop. 36.

Obviously Fenocchio is, himself, not willing to abide by the law, so the
people of California should insist that he seek employment elsewhere.
