CLUB DRUG'S RISKS

I thank USA TODAY for taking the lead in peeling back the myths surrounding
Ecstasy (Ecstasy grows as danger to teens: As other drugs dip, club drug
takes off" News, Monday)

An increasing body of evidence shows that Ecstasy can be addictive and is
neurotoxic. Beyond the rare deaths, it's what we don't know about
Ecstasy's long-term effects that should scare us.

We can't afford to wait for the Ectasy-related damage to pile up before we
learn from the nation's cocaine experience and work to change attitudes
about this drug.
