THEN AGAIN

To the pro-marijuana writer from Alexander City, only you are
responsible for having a criminal record. It was your choice to break
the law and not the government's fault for enforcing it. By the way,
increasing sentences are meant to deter continued criminal conduct.

Unfortunately, our society seems to produce more and more people who
fail to take responsibility for their actions. If our society wants to
legalize something, then lobby for it and wait until it does. If it
doesn't, then be a good citizen and obey the law.

A majority of the people I know do not use marijuana and seem to get
through life OK. So why do you feel the need to risk a criminal
conviction in order to get high? You state that you are not a
criminal, but a wife and mother. If you were convicted of committing a
crime, then you are a criminal who also happens to be a wife and
mother. Apparently you have chosen marijuana over your family.

It is people like you that I am upset with because you are the reason
my tax money isn't going to schools and other worthy programs.
