PROHIBITION CAUSES GROW-OPS

RE "FEDS too soft on drugs: Cops" (David Gamble, Nov, 27): I've had enough
of this law enforcement malarkey regarding marijuana grow-ops! Clearly,
grow-ops and the organized crime associated with the cannabis trade exist
solely because of prohibition. Cannabis is literally worth its weight in
gold. Cracking down on grow-ops won't change this economic truism. Do we
not have any politicians with the mettle do the right thing and legalize
cannabis? This is the only way to regulate access to the drug and shut down
the grow houses. After all, why pay in excess of $300 dollars for an ounce
of cannabis when you can grow it in your backyard free? Honestly, this
country is run by idiots.
