Actually there is no more of this so-called disorder now than ever. What there is an epidemic of is people who want to solve all of their problems with a pill instead of spending a little time with their children. This has come about since the advent of the mighty drug company campaigns and the emergence of the "recreational drug culture" spawned in the '60s. We now have a pill for just about everything from allergies and baldness to sexual dysfunction, and in our fast-paced lives this seems to be the only answer. Who has time for behavior modification these days? And why do we suffer from this time shortage? Most of us only work 40 hours a week. We all want to pursue our inalienable right to life, liberty and (most of all) the pursuit of happiness. Well, that is also why we have snipers and terrorists and pedophiles and drug addicts, and it's not going to get any better until we face the fact that our lives are determined by what we do, not what we profess. Stop seeking the easy solutions and take responsibility for your life. And go easier on the sugar. Ben Brabbin Charleston - --- MAP posted-by: Beth
