AND DEALING GOES ON

Re: the Nov. 13 article "6 linked to $22 million in cocaine sales":

In my 20 years of practicing law, I have seen at least 50 big drug busts
that supposedly were going to cripple the dope-dealing business. This is a
farce. Selling drugs is so profitable that all dealers are immediately
replaced.

To really cripple the business, the government should decriminalize it. The
huge profits would disappear and dealers would have to find a new racket.

The district attorney and the U.S. attorney can grandstand all they want,
but this latest drug bust will have little effect on the business.
